What if we were wrong and just didn't see it?
What if we're wrong now but chose to not believe it?
They say knowledge is power because you'll know more than others
But without belief knowledge lies covered
If knowledge is what is proven to be true
Then belief creates knowledge because you allow it to
You can't deny belief because that invalidates knowledge
And knowledge is not belief because it’s not as solid
Knowledge is what your learn but perhaps haven't tried
Where belief is what you know because you feel it inside
Like wisdom from experience, you can't get that from a book
So if its true knowledge that you're seeking, you need belief to have a look
I analyze everything because I'm looking for truth
And because God is truth I'm looking for Him too
If you look to people for clues you'll end up clueless
Because people do bad things, they even have entire to do lists
I've looked high and low with no clue where to go
I've asked here and there and they told me to see so and so
But I'm starting to get the feeling no one knows
So I look to myself and I ask: What is it about me that affirms the truth?
Is the sole fact that I am seeking some kind of proof?
If I wasn't made curious and didn't ask why,
I imagine I'd just live and then one day die
But I can't smother this question that's burning inside:
Who created me and why?
So what about me leads me to the truth?
I've got the questions, next step is the proofs.
I've got a logical brain, I should put it to use.
If I remain arrogant it should be easy to deduce,
That I'm here because of nature's magic juice.
From sperm and an egg I was planted in a womb,
Fed and grown until one day I bloomed,
But before all of that what happened, it was just one big kaboom?
A coincidence that lead to the existence of the moon,
The sun, the earth? The entire universe?
The thinking mind ever so curious,
To decide to divide information meticulously all to figure out what it is that created us?
And all you have to conclude is coincidence...
I feel nothing, and see no real evidence.
About this I'm on the fence.
Back to me, what do I have to prove the purpose of humanity?
We all have brains and we all have hearts, seems like a good start.
Now if we look at how we interact with each other,
You find we don't like the kind that prefers himself over another-
I'm talking about selfish people,
The ones who have arrogance spilling from their peep holes-
They look down upon others rather than down at the ground,
And though sometimes genius they only make others frown-
These are types of people no one likes to be around.
We like those who make us feel good about ourselves,
Those who constantly give and love everyone else.
So what does this tell you?
Even though we're all the same, our actions give us value.
Our thoughts are not always alike
But what we do to others is how we show the world our light.
So if the dumbest man in the world was polite,
He'd end up with friends until the end of his life.
And there seems to be a trend where these patterns end,
The less one has, the less he has to defend.
Whereas the smarter ones think day and night,
And in their arrogance, consider only themselves right.
They preciously guard their thoughts with their words like knives,
And they often end up lonely at the end of their lives.
So what does this say?
Knowledge isn't everything, character also has its play.
And knowledge will fill you full of yourself,
but without character's accompaniment, you're a book on a shelf.
As I mentioned before, the smarter ones tend to be arrogant more.
And with arrogance you leave more room for mistake,
Only seeing physical evidences is an example of one of these in which you partake.
Because as we stated in the start, knowledge and belief can be two worlds apart,
And knowledge without belief is a brain without a heart.
