Sharing

Life is about what you share with whom. Maybe this is because we're communal creatures, but the fact of the matter is, the beauty of the ocean isn't nearly as clear when you can't share it with someone. Likewise, the beauty of even enjoying a cat isn't manifested unless it's shared. It's almost as if nothing has meaning unless it is shared, as if we are here on the earth solely to share. We share our religion and our love. The people we see unhappiest are those who don't share, those who are greedy or lonely, which are often one in the same. We share sustenance, wealth, thoughts, emotions... So trying to define love, which is perhaps the ultimate form sharing, is then like trying to define life, a substance, a time, a place, something untangible: and I think this is the point, that life, and sharing, are something that can only be felt.

If you relate this back to how we perceive faith, you realize something, and I literally mean realize, as in make it real; because you feel it, you know it's there. You can't describe it, but it's real. Many say this is purpose we are here, that we exist, to seek this feeling, this state, and live in it for as long as we can, giving up a life of physical things in trade for searching for meaning; although it seems arduous, it also seems pretty temtping. And because as of this far in my life God and knowledge of Him is the only thing that has showed me feelings of sharing that is unlike any other feeling, this is what I want to pursue.
